2022 Nursing Awards Nomination

Nurse of the Year

Employed at Jefferson Regional for a minimum of 3 years. An individual staff nurse who demonstrates excellence in the clinical setting, has clinical expertise, is an exemplary team player and a role model for all other nurses.

Rookie of the Year

Less than one year as a nurse- minimum 6 months at Jefferson Regional. An individual staff nurse who has been a nurse for one year or less and exemplifies the image of nursing. She/he demonstrates a willingness to learn, is an exemplary team player and a role model for new nurses.

Preceptor of the Year

Precept a Minimum 300 preceptor hours in the last year. A clinical preceptor who serves as a resource to staff, fosters learning, has clinical knowledge and expertise, and leads others to learn and excel in their position.

Louise Hickman Nursing Excellence Award

Minimum 10 years at Jefferson Regional. A staff nurse who demonstrates extraordinary care, compassion, integrity, commitment and dedication, not only as a nurse, but as an individual. This employee also is dedicated to Jefferson Regional and its values.

Nursing Partnership Award

Minimum one year in current position. Open to educators, case managers, wound nurses, social workers, etc. A “non-bedside” nurse who partners with nursing in a collegiate manner to provide excellence in patient care and serves as a role model for the essence of teamwork.
