Amy B. Cahill, M.D., FACOG

Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Amy B. Cahill, M.D., was born and raised in Southeast Arkansas. She earned her medical degree and completed a residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock.

Dr. Cahill is a member of the Jefferson Regional Medical Staff, and practices at Jefferson Regional OB/GYN Associates. She has been a member of the Medical Staff almost 19 years, starting immediately after her residency. She is currently Chairman of the Invasive Review Committee at Jefferson Regional and previous Chairman of the Credentials Committee, and most recently served as Chief of Staff.

She is a member of the UAMS Board of Visitors and the Rural Practice Board. She serves on the clinical faculty, proctoring one student each week from the UAMS department of OB-GYN. She has been on the board of trustees for the Arkansas Medical Society, and previously served as Treasurer prior to serving as the 2017-2018 President. She is a member of the American Medical Association. In addition, she is a life member of the Arkansas Alumni Association, and a reviewer for their scholarship applications and honors.

She serves Pine Bluff locally as a member of CASA (Committee Against Spousal Abuse) Women’s Shelter Board. She is a supportive donor to the  Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, Circle of Friends for ACH, Hope Rising Children’s Home and Soaring Wings children’s home.

Dr. Cahill is an avid runner and biker. In 2012 she raised money through the American Medical Running Association for childhood obesity education so that she could run the Boston marathon. She has biked in many road races to raise funds for other charities, and has run a multitude of half marathons for charity.

Dr. Cahill remains true to her Southern roots and maintains a farm with her husband, Doug, in Pine Bluff. Together, they have six children, and enjoy traveling and time spent outdoors.

In her own words, Dr. Cahill says “I love my home of Pine Bluff, and this is my dream job. I left here long enough to spend four years in college at the University of Arkansas, and then 8 years at UAMS before returning in 1999. I consider it an honor to have delivered over 3,000 babies from all over South Arkansas and will continue providing high-quality, individualized care to the women of our area.”
