Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff will host a wonderful Christmas event on Thursday, December 7 at 5:00 p.m. in the front lobby that will feature the JRMC Christmas tree lighting, a Jenkins Choir performance and snacks and refreshments. The tree lighting is a fundraiser for the JRMC Auxiliary, whose members volunteer and accomplish special projects within the hospital.
The Auxiliary is selling lights that can be bought in honor or memory of someone special. Designating a light on the tree costs $3, and a note of acknowledgment will be sent to the person selected. Proceeds will help the Auxiliary continue to support JRMC. If you’re interested in buying a light, please call Debbie Tole at 870-541-7269.
Hearing the Jenkins choir perform is a truly special and heartwarming experience. Last year, Jenkins choir sang Christmas songs such as “We Wish You a Merry Christmas;” “Mary Did You Know;” “Blue Christmas;” “Silver Bells” and more. Jenkins choir sings all over Pine Bluff and has performed at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion. They have also performed for the Salvation Army fundraiser for many years.
JRMC looks forward to seeing South Arkansas community members at this brief but meaningful ceremony.
