The Wound Treatment Center at Jefferson Regional Medical Center has been recognized with a national award for clinical excellence.
Healogics, the largest wound-care management company in the nation, honored the center with this award.
The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent and a wound-healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 31 median days. 630 centers were eligible for the award in 2017 and only 334 achieved this honor.
Misti Williams Rodriguez, Program Director of the Center said, “I am so incredibly proud of this team and their outstanding accomplishment. Wound Care is very complex, so our Physicians, Nurses and staff are trained to be wound experts. We are so glad that we are able to offer a multitude of advanced wound-care therapies within our community of Pine Bluff and beyond.”
The JRMC Wound Treatment Center offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds. The Wound Care Center treatments include, but are not limited to, negative pressure wound therapy, debridement, application of cellular-based tissue or skin substitutes to the wound, offloading or total contact casts and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
