Kathy Pierce, Director of the JRMC School of Nursing, is retiring after 36 years at JRMC and 9 years as the JRMC School of Nursing Director. Kathy has been an inspiration to countless young nurses, and JRMC is proud to have been Kathy’s choice of employment for the past 36 years.
On Thursday, November 9, from 2 – 3:30 p.m., there will be a celebration at the JRMC School of Nursing in honor of Kathy’s career. JRMC is asking those who have been influenced by Kathy to send in a card recording their best wishes and fond memories for her. Please call 870-541-7554 and request the official card, which will be mailed to you. Then, mail the card back before November 2 or simply drop it off at the school prior to the event on November 9.
Michelle Newton, 31-year employee of JRMC, is replacing Kathy as the JRMC School of Nursing Director. Michelle was previously an Administrative Director in JRMC Nursing. She is now working with Kathy at the school of nursing, preparing to be the full-time Director.
JRMC would like to wish Kathy the best as she transitions into this new season of life.
