Maria Montales, MD

Hospitalist Maria Montales, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines, Manilla. She completed a Family Medicine residency at the UAMS South Central Regional Campus in Pine Bluff where she became a Fellow of the American Association of Family Medicine. Dr. Montales serves on the hospitalist team at Jefferson Regional providing inpatient care.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Montales enjoys spending active time with her husband and their 3 dogs: Luna, Squiggles and Kora. She loves traveling, trying out new restaurants and watching movies. True to her childhood dream of becoming a theatrical singer, Dr. Montales still enjoys singing karaoke. She chose to practice medicine in Southeast Arkansas after completing her residency training at Jefferson Regional because it felt like finally coming back home.
