TeErrica Wiley, RN from 3NE, is the DAISY Award winner for the month of July!

Her nomination comes from a patient, it reads, “On July fourth in the middle of the night TeErrica was moving beds and chairs to make sure my family was comfortable. I was in pain and about to have emergency surgery but she still made me feel calm. She talked me through everything and made me feel like I mattered. She is truly a beautiful woman inside and out.”

Chiara “Mimi” Sarmiento, RN in our Rehab Department, is the DAISY Award winner for the month of June!

She has two nominations from a patient, one reads, “I can’t say enough about the dedication, devotion, and determination Mrs. Sarmiento has shown me and the other patients here. Thank you for having someone like her on your staff.” The second nomination reads, “I must nominate Mimi again. I have never seen such a dedicated worker. I felt as if God had sent me an angel to take care of me.”

Gabrielle “Gabby” Valentine, RN in our Emergency Department, is the DAISY Award winner for the month of May!

Her nomination form reads, “She was so caring and compassionate. She is an asset to this hospital. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gabby. She has a wonderful attitude and made us feel comfortable in a horrific situation. Please, please, please let her know what she does each day impacts lives and makes a difference.”

Taylor Thompson, RN, from the Emergency Department is the DAISY Award winner for the month of April!

Taylor was nominated by one of her patient’s family members, who is also one of her superiors, said, “When we entered the ER for my son’s injured wrist, Taylor started an IV, attached all monitors, and found the physician to see him, all within minutes. She also noticed a second fracture in the opposite wrist, and explained everything and ensured he was comfortable and calm. She went out of her way to address all of our concerns and questions. She showed compassion and empathy, the best I have ever seen. While I have seen Taylor consistently providing excellent care, I was unaware of just how invested she is in providing the best care possible to all patients.”

Marie Morrison, RN, from the Rehab unit is the DAISY Award winner for the month of March!

The DAISY award is one of our favorites because the nominations come directly from patients and family members. Marie was nominated by one of her patients, who said, “When I was able to walk, Marie gave me a big hug and pat on the back, and this was so special to me. She was like a mother to me and it meant so much to me.”

Rick Parrson, RN, from 3NW is the DAISY Award winner for the month of February!
The DAISY award is one of our favorites because the nominations come directly from patients and family members. Rick was nominated by one of his patients, who said, “Rick showed genuine care for me and comforted me. He answered all my questions and made everything so much easier to understand. I felt so at ease knowing Rick was my nurse.”

Priscilla Culclager, RN, from 3NE is the DAISY Award winner for the month of January!
The DAISY award is one of our favorites because the nominations come directly from patients and family members. Priscilla was nominated twice by her patients, one who said, “Priscilla is a nurse beyond the word, she is comforting, professional, kind, and gentle.” Another patient wrote, “I really appreciate her for being here for me and taking great care of me, making sure I had everything I needed all the time.”

Archie Rhoden, Lynn Gragg, Eddie Morris from Security are all our WOW Employee award winners for the month of July!

These men were nominated twice for their rapid response to a situation that came over the radio, and how they handled the situation so well. They are known for going above and beyond, and and are great examples of the kind of employees we strive to have at Jefferson Regional.

Christian Hudson, Transport Aide, is our WOW Employee award winner for the month of June!

Christian was nominated by one of his superiors, who wrote, “Christian showed great initiative when he heard about a situation on the radio near where he was working. Christian went out of his way to do what needed to be done, without ever being asked. Christian is known for going above and beyond his job description, and he is a great example of the kind of employee we strive to have at Jefferson Regional.”

Kenneth Hughes, Mechanic with our Facilities Department, is our WOW Employee award winner for the month of May!

 

Kenneth was nominated by three of his coworkers, one being his supervisor, who said, “During the storms we had some flooding in our parking lot and an employee got her car stuck. Kenneth went out, while it was still storming, and crawled under the car into the water to hook up the chain to pull out her car. This is not unusual for Kenneth because he is always going above and beyond his job.”

Kaitlyn Hulse, from Transport, is our WOW Employee award winner for the month of April!

 

Kaitlyn was nominated by one of our nurses, who said, “Kaitlyn came to get my patient for dialysis and she jumped right in to assist me in getting him cleaned up and ready for dialysis. She was kind and compassionate towards the patient and explained everything to him. She really impressed me with the quality of care she gave to the patient and went above and beyond her job title.”

Cheryl Day, Monitor Tech on 3NW, is our WOW Employee award winner for the month of March!

Cheryl was nominated by one of our senior leaders, who said, “Cheryl found an employee’s bank card in the hallway and returned it to the cafeteria, but then also followed up to ensure it got back to the owner. Cheryl goes above and beyond her job title and demonstrates the honesty and integrity we strive for here at Jefferson Regional!”

Misty Billings, Cardiology Coordinator, is our WOW Employee award winner for the month of February!

Misty was nominated three times by her coworkers and superiors, one who said, “Misty has volunteered to work several extra shifts helping with other departments along with doing her own duties. She is always the first to offer support and goes over and beyond to help others. She is a great leader and team player!”

BeeLinda Temple, CPHt of the Jefferson Regional Pharmacy, is our WOW Employee award winner for the month of January!

BeeLinda’s nomination came from one of her superiors who wrote, “BeeLinda went above and beyond during a major system upgrade. She had to work sometimes around the clock for all three shifts learning the new upgrades and then training others. She rarely got any sleep but never complained and had a great attitude. Her superiors and even the people that she trained complimented her professionalism and her great work. BeeLinda went the extra mile and then some for this organization.”

Kanesha Thurman PCT, from 2NE is our Petal Award winner for the month of January!

The Petal award is for outstanding non-licensed members of our nursing care team. Kanesha was nominated by her coworker, who wrote ”Kanesha is so helpful and does way more than she is required. She helped me on a day when I was tired without me even asking her! She jumped right in even though she isn’t assigned to work on the floor, and she was motivating me to keep going. I just love her!”
